Northern Edge® organically grown flaxseed has a much higher content of the valuable flax oil due to the extreme cold climate and long time organically nurtured, rich, clean soil in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. This location is almost free of the toxic metals, particularly cadmium, found in the soils of other North American areas.
One bag (340 gm / 12 oz) is a 3 to 4 week supply for an adult at about 1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons per day. Unopened in the vacuum-sealed bag, the milled flax remains fresh for over two years from packing (well past the future "best before" date on the bag).
